I went to the VFW early this PM . A young man came in , just returned from the Middle East. Kawait. Before I left I approached him and said Thank You and shook his hand. My husband a 2 tour vet of Nam would have been proud and done the same if he were here. He's not. So I stepped up to the plate.PC
Robby interesting getting the view from the other end. Please understand when my husband came home from NAM he had no welcoming, he was called a baby killer, which he had to do because they had bombs on them trying to kill our men. WAR IS NOT FUN. :( PC
Please appreciate our appreciation. PC
You know....I don't know how other troops feel, but when someone compliments me for my service. It makes me uncomfortable...sort of like I want to be ackknowledge, but I don't want to be acknowledge. I have a belief that a lot of troops feel the same way and I try not to make them uncomfortable by thanking them for their service.
I make it a habit to thank all soldiers for their service. Its the least that I can do.
Way to go PC
(need a smilie that is saluting)
