Old School

I may have shown this before, but I helped my brother redo the roof on his shop a couple of years ago. He had a leakage problem with the metal panels that made up the roof and he wanted to let in some natural light. He glued and screwed OSB over the top of the metal on the seams, and then glued down 30 ' x 100' 60 mil sheets of rubber. Pretty straight forward, except he also installed 177 5' x 5' skylights on wooden curbs. He ended up with 1 square foot of skylight for every 14.5 square feet of floor space. a 50,000 square foot building. No need to turn on any light during the day now.

Did I say that it was the first rubber roof he had ever installed? That is kind of like jumping right into the 30 foot deep end of the wave pool. It came out nice and no leaks either. //picasaweb.google.com/crookston.john4/ClassicGutterSkylights?authkey=Gv1sRgCNSmz9vpufPg5gE
