I meant to post this last month when it happened but I forgot. This building is a couple miles away from me. Quite a mess! We had over 20" of snow a couple weeks earlier. The collapsed section was on the downslope side over a parking area. I think the upper section being heated melted the snow which froze over the lower end over the unheated section and overloaded the structure. Someone f'd up big time.
Mike where have you been? Daaaamnd we were worried about you. Hell with the green roofs , how are you? and Marlene . ? PC
I love these green roofs, first read about them in a Roofing Mag about 10 years ago. They are quite prominent in Europe, not so common here in the US. Beautiful just the same. Shame this one failed. I can only imagine the homework that needs to be done designing such a roof. PC
i saw that in the paper also gerry. hopefully they will rebuild and stay local.
