Got a call about a rush job.

I got a call from an apartment manager. He's got 22 buildings that need to be reroofed in the next 60 days. He's said we have to do it right away because the buildings are going to be torn down the first week of April. This guys sounds like a nut job. :unsure:>>>

There was a builder here who thought he knew a crosstown freeway was going to be extended, so he bought the property at the dead end and threw up a pos bottom of the barrel shopping center there. Oops, the freeway never was extended, but cars and trucks keep overshooting the dead end and plowing into two or three of the shops. :laugh:>>>

In the '80's there was an issue here involving 6 or 7 duplexes. A guy built them right before a road widening project that required them to be torn down, they were never occupied. Because they were built just to be sold to DOT, they were built like crap and the County wouldn't issue a occupancy permit (required before the guy could sell them for full value). So the guy had to spend a bunch of money to bring them up to standard before they could be torn down.>>>

Uh Yes Sir! I think I'd stay away from that one! I've got to give a quote on 26 large buildings! Been hangin on to this one for over a week now and running my residential house leads. I put nearly a week into a similar bid not long ago then got promised the job IF they buy the property only for them to actually buy the property and change their mind about even doing the roofs. GRRRRRR!!! Oh well i guess im a sucker because i will be over there next week measuring all these buildings! :S Its been ages since i've gotten a large apartment complex job in. Sure would be nice about now! :huh:>>>
