One of our lads had his company truck stolen here in BR on saturday night. The rascals even called him after they had lifted it to ride him about it. After we filed the police report Sunday morning he told me he had over five grands worth of his own SPF equipment in there, plus his GPS, check book and other personal chit. Needless to say he was not to happy. This morning I got a call from NOPD to say it had been recovered and was in "fair" condition, we're gonna head off shortly to pick it up.>>>
Boy, that adds insult to injury!>>>
Well we picked it up and apart from the destroyed door lock and ignition, everything else is as it was. Seems the lads were just looking for a ride. Apparently all you need to steal a F250 king cab is a screw driver.? They did relieve him of his GPS though with all his personal info including his home address..............he is ex marine corps, minnesota radical, angrier white man...... and said he hopes they pay him a visit >>>
............oh and the fee to get it out of the impound yard......$264 :woohoo:>>>
Stealing a craftsman's tools should carry a stiffer penalty because you are stealing more than his property.>>>
Having it stolen really sucks. Getting it back in "fair" condition is good news.>>>
What a bummer! :woohoo: :(>>>
What a way to start a week. I think we will see a lot more of this as the economy tanks. I'm glad I can keep my truck inside a lock shop. Some of the tools I have can not be replaced as I used mostly vintage tinsmith tools>>>
