One way the IRS could get an idea if someone is 1099'ing their employees: The company has 10 lettered trucks, 20 ladders, four compressors, 15 nail guns and a Roofers Buggy----- but no payroll!!! :P
I say this 'cause as I repeatedly see the 1099 cheat cut throat THE WORK AROUND HERE, IT ALL LOOKS FAIRLY OBVIOUS.
This does not make anyone guilty, it would be somewhere to start however with the paperwork sitting on somebody's desk, they'd not even have to move their a$$es into the field

Yeah O/S a one man operation would need all of that equipment to run estimates and.......hire "sub contractors" to do the work :side:
