I installed this 20kw whole house generator a few months ago. Electricity goes off for 10 seconds, the genset starts. Turns itself off when power is back on, and starts every Wednesday and runs for 12 minutes to self-check and charge the battery.

I don't think social unrest is likely, but I also recognize that on 12-6-41 nobody dreamed Japs could attack Pearl Harbor, and on 9-10-01 nobody dreamed that Islamists could knock down the WTCs with passenger jets.

I try not to fall into traps that say that just because something hasn't happened, it can't. I do the math in my head and prepare accordingly.

Did you check out the 3rd party debates?

True, the 4 candidates wasted too much time trifling over constitutional matters such as marijuana legalization (500,000 AMERICANS sitting in prison , constitutionial rights destroyed by Dem/ Reps) and they did not mention 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), they at least had a REAL debate about REAL issues instead of preening for their own joys and madness.

Quite refreshing.

But Mittens could still get my vote. He just needs to address one abomination. Anytime.

Twill, life is full of compromises. If it weren't, everybody would be tearing every roof to the deck, installing 3 plies of Ice Shield, with a standing seam genuine copper roof over that. But we all know that building owners don't do that - they compromise.

A vote for anyone but Romney is 1/2 a vote for Obama. There's no getting around the math.

Lanny, that's right, but methinks that's about to change.

We're quickly reaching in boiling point. The country is broke and getting broker, which means it's very likely that entitlements will eventually end regardless who is president. Obama would delay that at the expense of taxpayers, who're already pissed off about having to support lazy people. I think at the very least it would cause a tax revolt.

Romney would end entitlements sooner, because he's a businessman and he knows we have to in order to survive fiscally. This would cause - like I said above - chaos in the streets as the perpetual entitlement-dependent class seeks to take what they think they're owed from those that Obama/Sharpton/Jackson/Shabazz have indoctrinated them to believe owes it to them.

I have invested a fair amount of time and money in the last year toward surviving that eventuality.

Tell me we won't experience Katrina x 50 when these losers get their welfare cut off because the country is broke:

This is what happens when the OBAMA administration

adds 50% to the rolls of free-loaders on food stamps.

Under the heading of “YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS”, this is an actual event that happened in Ohio.

At approximately 2:30 pm, September 6, 2012, I entered the Kroger store on SR 28 in Goshen Ohio to pick up a few items. I gathered my items and went to the 10 and under register to check-out. The person in front of me (white female, approximate age 35-43, fake nails, big braided hair do, clean clothes, carrying a purse and a plastic drinking cup) put her purchase on the check out surface – ONE GRAPE. Yes, that is correct ONE GRAPE. The cashier asked if that was all and she replied yes. The cashier then weighted the GRAPE and told the women the cost was $.02 (TWO CENTS), the women then pulled out her EBT (food stamps) card and swiped it through the credit card machine, requesting $24.00 in cash back. The cashier asked if she wanted the GRAPE, the woman replied no and the GRAPE was put in the garbage can. The register recorded the sale $24.00, credit .02, total $24.00 cash back. The cashier then asked if four fives would be okay because she was out of tens, the woman agreed and took the $24.00 folded it up and put it in her pocket and left the store As the next person in line I asked the cashier “as a tax payer what in the hell just happened here?” She said she was on the clock and could not comment. I then asked if I had actually seen this person purchase and discard a GRAPE, then get cash back on her EBT card. The cashier responded that it happens all day every day in their store. She also said that if the person buying the GRAPE has it ring up over .02 they get mad and make her reweigh it.

My next comment was to ask the cashier if she planned to vote in November and she said she could hardly wait for 11/6/12 to get here as one tax payer to another. I paid for my groceries, in cash, and left the store madder than 10 wet hens. While walking to my car I passed a black middle aged woman who wanted to know if I had fifty cents to give her (she really didn’t know how close she was to getting an ear full at this point). I told her no and continued to walk, she looked at my right hand that held the change from my groceries and saw the money and while looking at my hand asked again – "you sure you don’t got fifty cents" – my answer was a very forceful, loud, rude and no nonsense – NO I DO NOT. She walked away from me to a young couple in the next aisle and they gave her money.

This is not one of those stories that a friend of a friend told a friend – I WITNESSED THIS AND WOULD LOVE TO TESTIFY IN COURT TO WHAT I SAW, however, it is apparently not illegal to go into a grocery store and buy a GRAPE, throw it away and take cash back from a food stamp EBT card and walk out he door. If she is so poor she needs food stamps why in the hell didn’t she buy groceries and why does our government allow cash back??? This crap needs to stop and soon!!

THOSE ARE YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK.........and quite honestly, I can't afford this anymore...... Please send this to everyone you know this needs to get out to the public, if we don’t get the takers stopped we are all doomed.

Guys, it's getting way too late in the game to suffer fools gladly. We have sat on our PC butts and looked the other way while liberals have destroyed our country. Actually, some republicans have helped them.

The time for being nice has long since passed. It's time to stop saying: Oh, there isn't a nickel's difference between them. Bullcrap! The difference between Obama and Romney is night and day (no pun intended).

Obama is trash. He's a punk. He is the most unpresidential president we've ever had. He talks like a gangbanger, calling Romney a "bullshitter" yesterday. I want a little dignity in my president.

I can do simple math in my head, and evidently a lot of other people can too. It has not escaped me the recent popularity of TV shows like Doomsday Preppers, Doomsday Bunkers, Sons of Anarchy, Revolution, etc. Perception is reality, and people think something is up. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It has not escaped me that when I go to my favorite gun store, they are swamped and have trouble keeping guns in stock. I was at Wally World yesterday to pick up another Savage .22, but they had none and the employee said they sell them as fast as they get them. I go to gun shows all over the state - I've been going to the Lubbock gun show for years, and this year (2 weeks ago) you couldn't even park within a 1/4 mile of the building it was so packed. The energy inside was obvious - people are worried. Never before have I seen so many vehicles in the parking lot with custom graphics that were blatantly anti-Obama. People are pissed, and they see bad times ahead. They're fed up with working their butts off 70 hours a week so that Obama/liberals can hand more and more of it to lazyasses who think we owe them an easy life that doesn't involve work.

No Patty, the gig is about up. Even if Obama wins, the gig is about up, because people are sick and tired of the liberal mindset destroying this country.

I watched the 3 debates. I am more now than ever convinced that Obama should be our President for the next four years. I firmly believe in his convictions and sincerity for the middle class, women, education, foresight for natural resources right here under our feet, wind & solar power, foreign affairs and the health & welfare of the American People. What I see in this man is true compassion, I see foresight, I see diplomacy with direction, I see a man with patience but conviction. I see a man with definite goals that need comradary amongst all our voted in personnel. I see a man that wants and needs citizens understanding and seeing a vision to bring America back to its stregnth and vigor and proud to be American.

Patty, it's time for you to get new glasses.

---I am talking about both parties. The Demo's are blatant socialists. They are the party of "redistribution." ---The Repub's can say all the right things but when elected they maintain the status quo. Bush had a Repub senate and house and instead of a smaller gov't we got a massive increase. I realize that the 2 major parties are all about pandering for votes and NOT about doing what is best for the country. That is not an accusation...it is just their track record. ---Neither party will cut spending. Neither party will lower the national debt or the annual deficit. Sooooooooo...expect the obvious. We will have a poor economy. We will have increased inflation. (I just got a supplier memo about another 5% price increase.) The dollar will go down in value compared to commodities & foreign currencies...Some foreign currencies are also going down as well. The Fed will continue to print paper currency devaluing the dollar. The debt will increase until interest on the national debt alone will exceed all revenue. ---Some are looking ahead and seeing the massive ponzi scheme are preparing for a possible collapse, martial law, rioting, food shortages, etc. I mean how much can you charge on you Visa card before the entire house of cards collapses? For example: If I make 50k/yr can I carry 320k on my Visa card? Can I service the debt? If I make 50k can I continue to spend 60k? ---GDP for 2011 was about 15 trillion. Tax revenues were about 2.3 trillion. The gov't spent 3.6 trillion. The national debt was then 14.7 trillion. Does this suggest a day of reckoning is fast coming? ---Gun sales are at an all time high. I wonder why?

C'mon Tom. We are ALL qualified to be President of the USA. Easiest job in the world!

You just do what you are told to do by the "men in black" (go debate and act like you care, for example)

It's all smoke and mirrors. If something happnes to the Clone, get another one. It's what we do......replace the clone every four years
