Florida shingle pricing

I've had a Florida state license for 3 years and just activated it. Setting up shop central FL east coast. I have know idea what the going rate is for 1 layer off and on, crew supplying tools and trailer. Need help with pricing. Looking to hire a crew in the next 2 weeks. Hey John, Your a brave man to open a roofing company right now. If I had any advice to give I would say DONT DO IT. Now is not the time, and surly don't leave a job you may have at present. I see your in Merritt Island, I'm in Melbourne(15 miles) We have not run out of work in at least 7 years, until Dec. first two weeks not a call. Right now we have a few jobs but nothing to get excited about, and my company was started in 1950 so we have name recognition. I would hate to see you spend allot of $ when their is not allot to make. About pricing I don't know what people are subbing for. I am all in house. I know allot of em are dropping prices, I'm getting under bid all the time. We sell quality not price, some people still want that. Any way if your gunna do it GOOD LUCK.>>>

........bit of a rough time to be setting up in FL no? From what I hear you will have no problem finding crews though. Have no idea what the pricing would be, supply and demand an' all that....>>>
