My business partner and I would like to offer financing to potential clients. What input do you all have for this? If any who would you recommend etc.
Your feedback is appreciated as always. Thanks.
Vaa Fakaosifolau Said: I never set out to be a Bank, just a good Roofer. It is up to the customer to organize their own finances IMO. I cringe when people call on the phone and start out I have a roof that is leaking, but I dont have much money That is NOT the way to get a Roofer to come out and look at your problem, what do they think we are? a charity service? Same with im looking for the cheapest product or I would like a competitive quote they are all turnoffs response is usually ....... we are too busy
Ditto! My dad used to tell the customer after signing a contract "I'm your roofer, not your banker. When I'm finished with your job I will walk in with your invoice and guarantee, and I want to walk out with your check. If that is a problem, tell me now, not after I install your roof."
I would be fearful that people would use any excuse hey can to stop paying you their monthly payments. As we all know, if there is water on the floor the roofer gets blamed for it.
I think that most of the companies that really sub out the labor make most of their money on the financing part of it.
