I have not looked at yet. I'm told wood is rotted, joists/ rafters OK.

What about treated plywood w/ plastic fasteners? Is that an option. What other things to look for.

What about ventilation/ moisture removal?

IF the pool shares an attic with the house, that's a red flag for problems.

A dentist I know bought a house with an indoor pool, with an indoor balcony with the living room overlooking the pool area. He got the house really cheap because there were moisture issues from the pool. He hired an engineer to solve the issues and after looking at it briefly, the engineer said "I already know what the cheapest solution is, fill in the pool."

After getting bids for all the other solutions offered, the dentist filled in the pool.

You're getting into uncharted territory when it comes to roofing that due to the huge humidity factor. Many are done in poly panels because they don't delaminate and come apart. Bottom of whatever you install is going to be as wet as the bottom of the pool. Me, at WTR doing an indoor pool.

You may need to come up with a huge vapor barrier below the joists. This one has 2 - 48" fans in the gable and it sweats 24/7
