wywoody, You no doubt get a lot more of the heavy moss type problems where you are than we do in the Midwest. I expect you could have full time work just cleaning roofs in the Pacific Northwest.

I go through lots of Wet and Forget. I have a modified ATV sprayer that I apply it with. The price of it is all over the board, there's a certain time of year at a certain store where it becomes a bargain, but it's not in my interest to tell anybody when and where that is.

It is more for arresting new growth than spot cleaning or trying to remove heavy moss. We do applications on annual basis combined with a roof "tuneup". It keeps you in contact with your repeats.

There's a product out called "Wet & Forget". You spray it on and let it sit. The rain washes it off over time and it should gradually disappear. Just be very careful if you go on the roof to apply it. In my opinion it is a lot cheaper to hire a professional than it is to pay the doctor bills and do the recovery time for that one second where things go wrong. We in the roofing trade are constantly hearing the horror stories of an easy Do-It-Yourself project gone wrong. Rarely does a week go by that I don't hear of at least one broken bone or worse from someone who wanted to save a few hundred bucks.

50% bleach, 25% Fabuloso (or any sudsy detergent as a surfactant), 25% water. Then add a couple scoops TSP. It should rinse off without much pressure.

OLE Willie

They make products you can just spray on the stain and let the rain wash it off.

Did you spray some clorox bleach or anything on the spot and let it soak in before you power washed?
