The sad tragedy that Lefty experienced brought to mind the something that I have suspected for some time. I didn't want to post any of this on his thread as it would seem rather callous.
I have never tested roofers, but for some time I had truck driver>>>
We have a drug testing system set up and use it. We do random drug tests sporadically but our policy is that if you go to the ER even just for a stitch, you are being tested. This also applies for everyone who is in a vehicle if the vehicle is involved in an accident.
Actually had one guy last year refuse the drug test after he "claimed" to have gotten hit by some bricks that fell while he was climbing down the ladder. It was very convenient that no one was on that side of the roof to see this and after photographing the scene, it was literally impossible for anything to have struck him unless the bricks jumped 3 feet away from the wall and turned left in mid-air.

I take 6 oral presciption meds and 2 dermally applied prescriptions, daily.
A clean test comes back the next day. Certain drugs we hear in 2 or 3 days. It takes my test over a week to get back, but in the end, it's always "clean", and they don't ev>>>
Testing has become very sophisticated. One would need to be very "wiley" to outsmart it. When you consider the ramifications of DOT drug use laws, public highway safety, lawsuit etc.... testing laboratories take on quite a bit of liability when they d>>>
