With all the moisture coming out of those, it would be interesting to see the pattern of the patina and calcium that will build up on those. I tried using lead flashings for those kind of units once, and after only a year,there were stalagtites 3'' long forming down from the inside of the lead caps. The water would drip from them inside the pipe and they woould hear it in the house. I assume you will get more condensation on the copper cone-top than you would get with the plastic.

Plus there will be a stripe of clean shakes below the copper. But it all looks sharp when new.
