Copper Standing Seam Dome

A potential customer walked into the shop last week with a dome that someone had build for him (imagine a quartered orange). He wants it covered on the outside with standing seam copper and on the inside with flat lock copper.

We have only done one other dome but it was a much larger scale and infinitely easier to work. I have searched the yellow pages for metal workers but seems that no one wants to work with copper. I found one company in the area that does work with copper and domes but they have already told me that if they do the work it would be "incredibly expensive". I am still waiting for their quote but have decided to see if y'all have any idea where else I can look?

Copperman,

The photos are on the way. I am trying to convince the customer that he really wants a hammered finish inside to reflect the light better and to make the installation easier!

Terry where are you at? I think your in PA. Yes they are expensive but I love that kind of work. Do you have a picture of what it looks like? i HAVE The tools to do standing seam on that kind of roofs. The interior work is always the tuff ones because you have to do everything perfect No dings or kinks at all and of coarse that makes it more money. shoot me an email>>>
