While on an insurance claim I noticed this across the street. I never seen shingles installed this way before... What say you?

These are great! The skylight is the best! Tinner666 you win hands down (so far)! This has inspired me to add a page to my website, ROOFING the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY. If you want to send me some images I will post them and credit your company with the submission. They don't have to be shingle they can be any type of roof, also some good before and after pics. My website gets visits from all over the country, I can add links back to your websites as well. There is a shortage of good professional roofing contractors! (Tinner- I love the skylight and the shingle stack image!) AWESOME pics!

It's not just low bidders; some of the biggest conmen get top dollar. When the Irish Travelers come through Texas in the spring, they might charge $250/SQR to spray used motor oil on the widow woman's shingles.

They have hit me up for $10,000 to pave my driveway and when I say I'm not interested, they drop the price to $1,500.

Actually I think the shingle patio is kinda cool! Now that shingle repair, wow that's awesome! Hey when in doubt just dope it, right? lmao!

Always those low bidders! I think this roofing genius was a low bidder too!

seen-it-all

It's only obvious he went with the low bid for an asphalt paved driveway.

OLE Willie

I don't see it much anymore but years ago when shingles were fairly cheap, people who lived out in the countryside and had poor access from the road to their homes would lay shingles on the access road/driveway for improved traction. It was pretty common at one time.
