We had a local tradgey last week. 7 children died in a tragic fire in rural Perry County Pa, just over the mountain from me. Just drove through there 3 weeks ago. I live rural, Perry County is rural, rural farm country. Funeral is Tuesday, the church that protests at funerals , like the one recently of a local young soldier, whose father took his complaint to Supreme Court and lost just recently, this group plans on protesting at this funeral. THEY DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE MESSING WITH. It's not just the community up in arms , it is the COUNTIES up in in arms. I wouldn't be too surprised if they show up, you will be hearing about this on National News. So many individuals have spurned action against this AH group to drown out their protests which includes many a motorcycle club, building many a buffer to overide the protest. This family had a tremendous loss and I just can't figure out where the offenders hearts are at , that's if they have any. Very sad. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Good News !!! The Westboro Baptists did not show up. A good thing. The whole community was prepared. Kudoos to all. Trucking company offered rigs, farmers on tractors and of course the bikers and the wall of people. All offering their services for intervention. The children were buried in peace. Amen PC
ditto,People shouldn`t intrude on the misery of others
Westboro Baptists, I couldn't come up with the name last night. They announce their protests and may not show up but if they do, the outlying communties are prepared. Talk about O tolerance, you are in the right neighborhood. They by law are allowed within 500ft. The local barrier will be at 499ft.
The family are Mennonites, a farming family in a very rural area. Very sad story. Dad was on a milk run, Mom was in the barn milking, 10-10:30pm the 3 yr old finds Mom in the barn to tell her "I smell smoke in the house", the house was engulfed in flames. 7 children died, 7 months to 11 yrs old, devastating.
My wish is that the family can bury the children in peace.
