The prob lem is that they could take ALL of the income from the top 25% of the people and still not come close to balancing the budget. It is all smoke and mirrors.

It is not worth the arguing the points anymore lanny.
YES the rich should pay more. it IS a progressive tax system.
How Much More, might be an argument worth having IF we were actually cutting spnding ACROSS THE BOARD or actually trying to have A) fair (Reasonable) and B) efficient government.
Since the A & B discussion NEVER takes place, and MUST take place before we even think about tax rates/ receipts the article is mute.
Maybe in the 2016 Pres Primary/ Elections they might talk about fixing things. I have not heard this discussion ever before. It's no wonder we keep ending up here.
