And this might be me. Perhaps there is a language barrier. Does this happen to you?
DO you find that the worst websites and the hardest businesses to do business with, are Tech Companies?
Here's an example. I've always had google earth on my computer. Rarely do I use it. Then I saw that there is a Premium service. So i thought that I would buy it and try it.
No can do. I can only get so far until they simply won't take my payment or direct me where to go to pay. Weird. I gave up.
(And this company is the richest on earth, stock price through the stratosphere, smartest guys in the room, etc etc???????)
My web company has the most mumble jumbled mish mash of a website I have ever seen too.
These 2 make Verizon the pinnacle of ease & success
Wow, I've never used that program but that sounds extreme. I figured it would just be an option "automatically send read-receipts" or some such.
I always hated read receipts as a simple being(ie: 16-23 years old) Now that I'm half a businessman I wish they would have caught on.
Thanks for tipping me off what they are called, Clo83. I googled "stuck read receipt" and found the solution. Unfortunately it requires going into the developer/programmer code of the computer with a warning to backup everything first and that failure to follow every step precisely could be dire. I think I'll just have to stick with my Rube Goldberg way around it.
A read receipt?
I have had my current computer for over three years and used Windows Live Mail for email on it since new. About a month ago, a customer of mine (an attorney) sent me an email with some kind of attachment that automatically sent him back an email that I had opened his email. That totally mucked up the system and I have been forced to use a different route to get email ever since.
Chrome was really messing with me until I disabled hardware accelleration.
Buy Google Earth? I use it so much that I HAVE to look into the perks!
I know this sounds crazy and no-one believes me but using Google Chrome as a browser messes up my transactions. I had to use Firefox to get into my Google Analytics today. Try a different browser.
My son-in-law is an art director for an agency and they do some web work for some pretty big name tech companies, Skype, Adobe and others. I found that surprising as I would have thought those companies would be doing things like that in house.
P-twilly your not ready for the interweb ! lol
Ummmm. I was just trying to upgrade Google Earth is all
The front page stuff is a scam all their going to do is post these free listings for you, you can do it yourself. You get top placement with Google by ad works pay per click or getting customer reviews 5 reviews and they will highlight your listing
Yea you can post a free business listing on Google and add your website if you got one? Just google free local business listing very easy and do it on yahoo, Bing etc.
 Yeah Chuck now you got 3 languages going on there: Tech Speak, Government Speak and Spanish.
I don't understand any of them :(
Twill, if you think those are bad you should try this one: healthcare.gov
Jay, you should try google adwords to drive traffic to your website. There are two networks. Search and Display. Use the search network only. The display will eat your wallet for lunch.
Yes twill I feel your pain. I am computer illiterate as well. Learning is happening though, the more I practice(when I find the time in between my five daughters and etc....} I have finally went "high tech", yesterday. I was skeptical but I thought might as well try it. I signed up with local lighthouse to advertise on "the front page of Google" it was "the only spot left" yeah right. I've been getting these calls for years. It can't hurt? Maybe I'll be out a few hundred or maybe I'll have more calls than I can handle. Time will tell. Anyone else use the web? Does it work for you?
