A large loss adjuster showed up with Haag, even before the adjuster had seen the roof or met with me. This is unusual in that Haag usually only gets involved after we disagree on the damage. At least in the past.
I notice that Haag is now advertising that they will look at any roof for $2,000, and that may be the reason they got involved.
Is this a new strategy with adjusters, or had the adjuster already decided to deny the claim?
CIAK, Texas.
Just recently we have begun asking the agent to send a large loss adjuster from the get go if the claim is well over $100k. This is because all the time that we've lost in the last year when an adjuster shows up, I look at the roof with him and state my case, only to have start the whole process all over again because he had no authority over $100K.
That said, I don't think this is why the LL adjuster brought Haag with him initially, because I worked 6 large loss claims in the last year and the LL adjusters never brought in an engineer until after he and I disagreed on the damage.
