Just got this one today. 4yr old galvalume in exuma. I'm ripping what's left of it off and putting on clay tile.

A bid job or T & M ? $450 for just tear off bars is kind of steep!
Allied carries Metal Sales in my area.
Wow, this is a difficult tear off! Its screwed down and the heads of the screws are all rusty so I gotta tear em out. I've already busted two tear off tools and I'm only a third of the way done. Btw tear off tools here are shovels with teeth and they're almost 150 a piece! I'm taking pix as I go since this is my first tear off. Does anyone want to see anything specific? I keep finding these stickers under the metal which say " metal sales manufacturing corporation, miami dade approved. I'm gonna contact them but I don't expect anything like responsibility coming from them. Gotta go, got some fresh snapper on da grill.
Doesn't look like much, but then again how fancy does it have to be to serve beer on the beach? It has been cold up here Branden. Hope you are having fun in the sun!
I aint rippin off that lil one I meant the green one above. The little one is still a great place to have a beer!
I'm about to begin ripping this thing off in the morning. I'm so excited to tear off a metal roof! Here's another great example of how awesome they are. Stay warm guys, ill be in touch.

Let me rephrase that just a tad: To those in the know, I&W is a tool and so is anyone who uses it all the time. When Jack got a leg up in this world, the first thing he did was include a space for that stuff in his war-wagon right next to the cans of half-dried mastic and the pile of broken wood shingles he spreads it with. It's a wonder.
Twill lol I love it! You and I would get along great I know OS would agree for sure. And you're right, the bottoms are hemmed. I'm tearing this roof off in two weeks ill investigate and take more pics. Couldn't agree with you more about your problems. I was looking into opening a pizza shop before I left the country instead. Let em have it!
To those that "know" I & W is a tool, but to everyone else, it is a cure all. Are we the ones that "know"? I hope so.
I guess I really was not that mad. It was ridiculous. I knew the words were going to come out of his mouth. just as soon as I started to tell him about the detail. Sure enough he jumps right in and suggests ice & Water shield. Sounded just like a roofing pro who would not know a roof from a sturgeon. The magic cure indeed.
Oh well. More sad than mad I guess.
Anger management now!
LOL O/S. I almost slapped a rep last month when I told him about a detail we were doing and 1st words out of his ignorant mouth were "Ice & Water Shield".
"Ice & Water Shied" and "Ridge Vent" are the biggest two clues you may well be dealing with an idiot
Twil, you really have to stop holding back and let us know how you are truely feeling.
Really, I apologize stocker. It's just been another day of Service Magic stealing my websites, the BBB wanting money to lower me down to the scumbags level, updating my Preferred Contractor And Select Shingle Roofer credentials so I can be on the same level as the other BullChitters.
At the end of the day, the truly knowledgable roofing people seem to be Angie's List members, the college girls at Certainteed's tech Support, the Storm Chasers and of course the supply houses who sell VOLUME.
Even my new CT rep was bragging about being a condo roofing contractor. Yup. Volume baby volume.
I see Xactimate has some kind of "How to Roof" training or some crap. If I was 10 yrs older, I'd a quit last year.
Looks to me like they are detailed that way stocker. They still need cut to do that anyway at least in the field. Not sure about factory hemmed, I've never had them delivered that way.
No offense stocker, but when a supplier starts talking about installation, or worse yet, pricing, their ignorance shows pretty fast and I tend to go off. I am actually being very nice right now.
Anyway, guess what? It ain't always about VOLUME. Sorry if I am rude but if it makes you feel any better, the manufacturer aren't much better.
