We sat thru wet one Saturday. I got to thinking..... I've only been to a couple of different 4th of July parades in my life. And I am wondering how they do it @ your place? The reason I ask? Trying to find the connection between the parades, the celebrations and Independence Day, i.e. July 4, 1776.
I mean do you have people in character @ yours? Does anyone they distribute copies of the Declaration of Independence? The Bill of Rights?
They do grant some citizenships for those that bother to apply, here on the 4th, which is cool>>>
No 4th of July parades around here. It's all fireworks.
St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, Halloween are parades. Most others are fireworks.
All good. Some are so small, if you blink you miss them other are definitley worth watching.
Harrisburg has the waterfront galas...arts & crafts, concerts, eats out the Kazoo, water sports and much more on all big Holidays, Memorial, 4th of July & Labor Day all with a grand finale of fireworks. PC>>>
I like that Miscreant. Who don't love a parade?
They used to have a spontaneous midnight parade in Porter, IN. It was a victim of its own success. In other words--- too many drunks spilling out of the bars to participate---and too much public urination.
They canceled in 3 yrs. ago>>>
We have several parades here. My favorite is the Doo-Dah parade. No advertising allowed, no registration, just show up. It's all about Freedom. Here's some pics from 2007 http://www.flickr.com/photos/barbtastie/sets/72157600691688983/>>>
