yEs!! I loved my budget of 2010. Have enough in the bank to do what I need to do this winter! Other local companies called me crazy for having nothing but employees with few sub'd out work. Guess they were wrong cause all of our projections from our 2010 budget came in as projected. We hit our marks and wouldn't run our business model any other way. I would March against crooked contractors. Can't stand them, really hate storm chasers that use illegals. Got my fair share of that eye to eye this year. Now, our winter budget is definately going to come in good. 3 days of really bad/cold weather and 5 calls from new homeowners that went with the out of town company and have water coming in their homes from ice dams. That's a different topic altogether.

Budget will be completed next week.

Eliminating the NFIB & MRCA from my budget will impact it this year.

I will only be joining the Organization that sponsors "The 10,000 Contractor March" to rail against 1099 tax cheats

I asked about this on the forum in the past. Who does a yearly budget?

I have never done a budget in the 16 years I have been in business. I started on ebefore but never got through it. Don't see the need. I do almost all of the purchasing so there are no departments to monitor. My material costs will vary by the amount of work that we do. Job costs are figured into each bid. Extras are extra. So what purpose will a budget serve? If I price my work properly and am making a profit I don't see the need.

My 2011 budget was done a few years ago. Some variances, perhaps 5-10% or so every year. Without major purchases or major changes, not much changes
