North East Roofing Contractors Association Convention a Success

If you missed the Convention, here’s what you missed!

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2018 North East Roofing Contractors Association Convention (NERCA) Convention! Here’s a recap of events:

• Lou Silver of Silver Roofing Inc. completed his term as NERCA President and Bradley Sontz of Max Sontz Roofing Services, Inc. was elected as new NERCA President
• Bill Stewart of Atlantic Asphalt & Equipment Co., Inc. wins the Thomas S. Gunning Award for member recruitment
• Chris Sears of John F. Shea Co. wins Clarence J. Carr Roofing Industry Award for outstanding service, contribution, and dedication to the roofing industry.
• Jim Barr, President of NRCA, delivered remarks on National Roofing Day in Washington DC and the importance of Association membership.

Best Exhibit Award

A fixture at the NERCA Convention and Trade Show, Atlantic Asphalt and Equipment Co., Inc. won the Best Exhibit Award at this year’s show for going above and beyond on their huge exhibit. Accepting the award on behalf of Atlantic is Colin Cash with his wife, Margaret, and son, Ethan, all of whom work for Atlantic. On the left is Nick Egan of Beacon Sales Co. and on the right, NERCA’s Executive Director Tom Gunning who presented the award. Congratulations to Atlantic!

Thank you to all those who downloaded the NERCA Convention App. Congratulations to Victor Szala for winning the first annual NERCA Challenge. The point system rewarded people for attending seminars and visiting booths. Victor took home an Apple watch for completing all of the activities.
