Caffeine is strong today and Sammy kept us all up all night. :woohoo: Anyway, a question was posed to me about rubber/ metal.

Would you install a vertical metal panel system direct to deck onto a rubber roof?

This is a 2+/12 and the owner wants to improve the looks. I have no idea what kind of panel, attachement system or what insulation is below the rubber, 'cept he is asking about putting the metal directly on the rubber, w/ no wood spacer>>>

Tell him if he wants to make it look better that you will use white paint at No Charge- "Amarco Roofing Rocks!" and a phone number. Problem solved. >>>

I would use battens. I know the structural panels have clips that will hold the panels 3/8" or more over the surface.>>>

You should probably use hat channel or battens which would raise it off the roof anyway......no?>>>
