What disturbs me most, is the percentage of voters that will just vote for anyone to get Obama out of office.
It's true, I'd vote for Pee Wee Herman if I thought it would get Obama out of office. Heck, even that moron Biden would be a huge upgrade - at least he's only incompetent.
To remove him now would only overturn all that is in place.
I don't know what to say.
The congress is not working together for the benefit of the people anymore.
The less Congress does, the better off we are. A government shutdown would see the DOW move up 500 points.
I say to keep Obama in office to follow up on his word and projections.
Obama is hands down the worst, most incompetent, least qualified, crooked president in the history of this nation. He got elected because uninformed people wanted to be a part of history, because he's black.
It appears that Romney will be up against Obama this November. What disturbs me most, is the percentage of voters that will just vote for anyone to get Obama out of office. That is just wrong. To remove him now would only overturn all that is in place. You know as business men that a plan of action does not happen or cure overnight. The main problem is congress. Democrats & Republicans. All so stuck in the mud to defend their title. The congress is not working together for the benefit of the people anymore. They are so party orientated and have to be or they are not "team players". I have listened to the same rhetoric for decades: Taxes, Education, More jobs, Healthcare, Less government spending, Welfare, Environmental issues, Less pork belly, Less lobbying, Space program, Defense budget etc. All these well educated men & women can't agree on diddly. They know their entitlements and use and abuse them. They don't have the everyday worries as the average citizen: mortgage, healthcare, vehicle, insurance, childcare, education & so on. I say to keep Obama in office to follow up on his word and projections. The big election will be in 2016. Anyone with a dream for the job of President, should first question why? Secondly start doing their homework now.
It has been enjoyable reading this thread. Have a good day gentlemen. PC
I can sorta understand why a person might vote for Obama in '08, to be part of history. I think that's shallow, but I get it.
What I don't get is how anyone could do it again in '12 knowing what we know now.
If there are enough people who think that way to reelect Obama, I will have lost a lot of faith in America. And at that point I will give in to the theory that one guy said when he said that no free society can last more than 200-250 years, because that's how long it takes for voters to realize they can vote themselves money from the national treasury.
Old School Said: How else do you get a job paying $170,000 a year and leave in 6 years worth many millions?
By opening a roofing company! New ones are opened here every day, like in gold rush Alaska, by painters, clerks, firemen, and everybody else looking for the motherlode.
Alba Said: IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA IN 08 TO PROVE YOURE NOT A RACIST, VOTE AGAINST HIM IN 12 TO PROVE YOURE NOT AN IDIOT Those racist inbreds who wrote that are going to be disappointed in November.
Sure be a sad day if that happnes. It'll be what it'll be.
Aside from the fact that I don't trust any of the others at all, I'd vote Ron Paul for the same reason others voted for Obama in '08. Ch ch ch changes!
To eliminate the waste is simple. follow the Constitution. That is what it is there for. NO ONE except Ron Paul has been saying that for decades. He is the only one that will "Fix" the problems. I am sure if he ever got elected, he would be assisinated in less than a month. Too many oxen would be gored by taking away their "perks". How else do you get a job paying $170,000 a year and leave in 6 years worth many millions?

Ron Paul knows why they print money........it's the WASTE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

twill59 Said: The argument about taxation is kind of a false positive. As twill has repeatedly said the last few yrs. the issue is not the amount of taxes but the amount of wasted tax dollars.Slowly people are realizing what they really mean when they talk about less taxes. Then it slowly dawns on voters that every Dem/ Rep vote might be for higher or lower taxes, but for sure will be for waste and that they are only voting against themselves. Waste is what they really do, tax rate be damned.
Eliminating the waste, regulations and un needed crapola is where the rubber meets the road.
In that regard, Ron Paul has it right.
I get irritated when I drive around Texas and see huge elaborate expensive school buildings and government buildings...monuments to school board members and politicians. They make a passioned plea why a marble court house is a wise expenditure because it will last 100 years, and they think we don't notice that they last told us that their existing 30 year old marble court house needs replaced because it's obsolete. And the intricate artwork on public bridges???

Alba Said: The guys that make $100000000 dont do it through hard work and genius but through generous stock options compesation from their cronies in the corporate governing boards.
Some people looked at Ken Hendricks, bilionaire founder of ABC Supply, and said "There's a greedy billionaire who got rich by screwing the hard working middle class guys." I looked at Hendricks and saw a high school dropout roofer, who through hard work and innovation, became wealthy and should be admired.
These guys who in the most of the cases have not created wealth for their shareholders dont create jobs but export jobs to China.
Well that's a blanket statement that is simply untrue. But as it applies to Romney, it is flat out wrong because he made his "shareholders" very wealthy.
If things dont work out quite well they have invented golden parachutes and get millions of dollars in pay and other benefits just to agree to get fired.
So you expect a CEO to negotiate a bad contract for himself? If he has a position with a hefty "golden parachute" then he obviously had some talent that the board felt was worth it. Not every CEO is successful at every company.
So if these guys will get taxed a little more wont hurt the rest of us nor should we worry much about them. These so called creators of wealth outsource our jobs to china every chance they get and dont give a damn about the american workers.so the hell with them.
First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak out because I was Protestant.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.
Good Lord!!!! Where to begin???
Lets start here: Mr. Krugman, no, the general public does NOT have a right to see more tax returns. You freeking dope! The general public has the right to vote for him or not, that's it.
How can anyone complain about over taxation and then in the next breath criticize Romney because he could afford better CPAs and was able to legally avoid some taxes? You take write offs, right? You want to reduce yours as much as possible, right? You only pay what you legally have to and not a dime more, right? Then stop whining that Romney is just doing a better job of it than you are.
I got burned when I voted for Perot. Since that time I have followed William Buckley's admonition to vote for the most conservative candidate who can win. My first choice of the 4 remaining is Santorum, but the math of the situation tells me he cannot win. Newt has been an undependable conservative. He was for national healthcare and an individual mandate, he cozied up to Pelosi on global warming, and he was against repealing the Fairness Doctrine. He is also an admitted and repeated adulterer. Hannity whines that Newt has asked and deserves forgiveness - fine, that doesn't mean we owe him forgetfulness. I'm not perfect either, but I'm not running for president. Newt has serious character flaws and that eliminates him for me.
I will hold my nose and vote for Romney. Romney understands the economey better than anyone else in the race, maybe with the exception of Ron Paul. Romney gets China. I guarantee you, the DOW will move up 500 points the day following the election of Romney because Wall Street knows that Romney will be vastly better than that clown Obama.
It can't get any worse than we have it with Obama, when you consider that people can't decide if he's merely inept, or if he's intentionally ruining our country.
Alba, I thought you were joking when you said you'll vote for Obama, until I saw your next post. Truthfully, I cannot see how anyone could not be embarassed to say they voted for him in '08, let alone saying they'll do it again in '12. I saw a billboard awhile back: IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA IN '08 TO PROVE YOU'RE NOT A RACIST, VOTE AGAINST HIM IN '12 TO PROVE YOU'RE NOT AN IDIOT.
Guys, we gotta win this one. I'm afraid that 4 more years of Obama may do us in. Frankly, I have my doubts that anyone can beat Obama.
I was just ready to send money to Herman Cain, when the girl stuff broke and he stepped down.
I am solidly in the Rick Santorum camp at present, and would vote Gingrich if Rick bows out. Gingrich is intriguing. Santorum is solid. Romney, can't be worst than Obama, but I don't think he'd be much better.
