A lot of variables. I have found that it is best to have the owner find out what they want 1st. Then they usually don't want Standing Seam once they find out what it is......or what it costs.
Here in Indiana they refer to any vertical panel metal roofing, even Ag Panels, as standing seam. It is up to me to decipher the code. Hard to get a price together, especially for labor, until I know the details.
It makes a huge difference in how cut up it is. A straight gable roof may go for $700.00 a square around here, and you can make good money at that. If it is the same building but a hip roof, it might be $1,000.00 a square. If it is all hips and valleys, plus a few pipes sticking through, it may go for $1,300.00 a square. Lots of labor in a metal roof. Materials including the trim pieces will be about $350.00 a square.
