OS go to My Account from the topics page, scroll down to the avitar area and click the browse button then find a photo on your computer and click on it the click the open button and after that just click the save button and your done

To add a photo avitar click the My Account button on the topics list page then scroll down to My Avitar and from there do what egg said

Tinner and I got dive-certified for working over water.
OS: I'm sure you are joking, but if you aren't, start a new reply like you just did, then click the box that says Choose File, then surf around on your computer until you find the photo you want, click on Choose and then punch the red Upload box.
(Those were fun days, Mike. They certainly were.)
