Ya either believe in the bible or not,ya cant have it both ways thats just stupid and wrong,thats what the jehova witnesses did wrote there own,took everything they didnt like out and called it good...stupid.My mind was open to alot of things before i accepted Him into my life,but the day i accepted Him that all changed,and He's proven it over and over..for the good,and its for everyone He has NO favorites.

There are those of religious "authority" who believe the book of genesis is a myth. ..............take it for what it's worth and open your mind.

Minn,read your bible we were created in His image from dirt,He breathed life into us..the women was created from one of our ribs..read the beginning of Genesis..no evolution involved..

You as well as I and probably most everyone experience a conflict between science and religion . Except for fundamentalists, the rift may not be as serious as it once was . Fundamentalists reject much of the scientific worldview. As for most of the rest of us we retain a belief in God as the source of ultimate meaning and purpose . Science as the means of supplying answer to our everyday problems. I liked the article - i do belive in absolute truth right and wrong - Egg posted the 2 plus 2 good point -

I do however think that the religion part and evolution is a bit off IMO - i do believe in evolution as well as God -- my perception may not be the same as others just like everyones perception of god is different than anothers. Just like the 2 plus 2 is an absolute but percieved differently you just need to play it out far enough like egg said. How this comes to the evolution part is i believe a path had to be followed in order for us to be here today - I agree god created us but it was not like poof and here is everything god created with a snap of his fingers - Its more like god is everything he is absolute truth but there has to be a path to absolute truth not just poof. We had to evolve from something and that something was created by god and that something created by god and so on and so fourth until you play it all the way down to god how was he created? this is absolute taking all the way back to what a beginning? to gods beginning? remember ABSOLUTE all the way back. In order for this to work there can be no beginning or no end this is absolute everything always has been and always will be --- god is absolute not a being but absolute truth what makes everthing work -- How does god make it work? it is all around us you give a flower water - earth - and sun it grows you can break this down into the chemical reactions that occur and ask why ? - because this is the only way it can be otherwise there would be nothing but even then there has to be something so it has to be GOD This is absolute.

I know most think i am f'd up but no one can think far enough back and keep asking how and why and what makes sence everyone always gets stumped including me then says god did it -- and i agree -- i just need it to make sence -- I could win the lottery and i would think well you know i had a system i picked every number between 1 and 50 then figured out all the possible combinations then i played 10% of those combinations on a rotating cycle - Then i win the first cycle and i consider myself a genius then ask how did i come up with that - well it makes sence to me it is an absolute like god and everything it was meant to be and always has been.

Or like others who do not care or need it to make sence --- god snapped his fingers and it was a present from him --thank you god - There is a reason for everything

I have many times copy and pasted without the intent it was interpreted to be my penn . With the immediate censor of my unintended transgression by an apparent Roman magistrate " the census administrator . That was a grossly undue accolade. I copied and pasted that from GotQuestions.org weekly e-mail. I was following this thread and received the email, thought it rather appropriate.

Was never my intent for anyone to think I penned it. I know we've had some lengthy black/white/gray discussions here over the years, but I have never put that much effort into a post since my wordiness was lost in the RCS crash. I will always regret putting off for tomorrow my intent to harvest many of the things I wrote here for my kids to read when I thought they were ready, be they personal or business writings.

I prefer original opinions. If I wanted to read pro-christian opinions posted on a pro-christian website then I would go there.
