I'm trying to check you out, and when I googled dixie and roofing, I got about 15 different entities.....and nothing thru the BBB? By the way...shouldn't this be in the classifieds......forum conversations of this ilk are usually discussed amongst familiar members. The "golden parachute" of business opportunities method of business promotion used to never be welcome in this forum, but always referred to the classifieds.....where's the "post" police?

Calm down. If you are for real, and it sounds like you are, I am sure you will have plenty of replys. there are a lot of people out there looking for work. As paul said though, it has to be a win win win situation or there is a looser, and that is bad for everyone.>>>

YES I AM WHAT U CALL A STORM CHASER I DO NOT SET AND WAIT ON MY PHONE TO RING I GET OUT AND FIND MY WORK TO PAY MY BILLS. however we have 7 offices in the great state of alabama witch have all been operating for over 10 years. we take our workmanship very personal. we have a outstanding record with bbb. we however will CHACE a storm if things are slow around here, who wouldn't,

so if there is anybody that is down on ther luck and need to make some money fell free to check us out and then send us an email. thanks,>>>

I'm sure there are lots of people reading this forum who could use a job. But if a company is prepared to screw its customers, it is just as ready to screw its sales reps and its workers. What should be a Win/Win/Win/Win situation becomes WIN/lose/lose/lose . No prizes given for guessing who owns the "win". But it ain't the customer, the sales rep or the installer.>>>

"Don't waste my time"

As you and your storm chasing, slash & burn compradres are laying waste to the world and people in it, your pathetic response is "Don't waste my time"???

Sorry, but you really aren't "selling" anything.

OK, I'll step up to the plate and shoot my mouth off.

Most of us on this forum are company owners, some working on their own, some with substantial staff, and everything in between, and pretty much all take pride in their knowledge, quality of work, and ability to service their customers. We've also invested much time and effort in building up our local reputation and referrals. We take pride (that word again) in doing the work properly, and be around if and when there are problems with our work, since we hold up our side of the bargain (the warranty). We have seen "storm-chasers" show up when a disaster hits an area, sell lots of jobs, do the work quickly (and often shoddily), and then disappear, leaving the homeowners with a poorly-installed roof and no recourse to getting it fixed.

So we (or at least I am) are very leery about someone popping out of nowhere, promising huge number of leads to whoever wants to come to the storm area. The old truism (Price, Quality, Speed - pick any two) applies here. 1000's of leads implies (even if you didn't say so) seeing lots of prospective customers every day, whipping off a quick estimate, moving on to the next if they don't sign on the spot. Assuming people are desperate for a roof over their heads, many will sign, and now the problem becomes how do you do all the roofs that you signed up. Since putting on a roof takes more time and effort than whipping off an estimate/quote, you're now facing having hundreds of reroofs to do. What is the quality of work that crews will be able to do under those circumstances?

I hope you understand why we are (or maybe that's just me) a little sceptical.>>>

Dixie,

I feel for your problem. But Gus is an old joke around here. You're being the unfortunate brunt of a joke. No harm's intended I'm sure, but when you pop into an old internet forum filled with guys that have been talking with each other for years, no introduction, no nuttin' but a promise of quick riches, you gotta understand the sarcasm.
