God went to the Arabs and said,

'I have Commandments for you that will make your lives better.'

The Arabs asked, 'What are Commandments?' And the Lord said, 'They are rules for living.'

'Can you give us an example?'

'Thou shall not kill.'

'Not kill? We're not interested.'

So He went to the Blacks and said, 'I have Commandments.'

The Blacks wanted an example, and the Lord said, 'Honor thy Father and Mother.'

'Father? We don't know who our fathers are. We're not interested.'

Then He went to the Mexicans and said, 'I have Commandments.' The Mexicans also wanted an example,

and the Lord said 'Thou shall not steal.'

'Not steal? We're not interested.'

Then He went to the French and said, 'I have Commandments.'

The French too wanted an example and the Lord said, 'Thou shall not commit adultery.'

'Not commit adultery? We're not interested.'

Finally, He went to the Jews and said, 'I have Commandments.'

'Commandments?' They said, 'How much are they?'

'They're free.'

'We'll take 10.'

There, that should offend just about everybody!! B)  B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day

There is a branch of the family in New York that is down to its' last male decendant now, and i don't know how they are related to us. There are a lot of Crookstons out in the Utah area that are Mormaons and i don't know how they re related to us either. We have all spread out all over the country so the different families are pretty dispersed.

OS That is great knowing what you know. I don't know as much of my family but my husbands was researched back to the 1600's landing in Mass. and migrating to Mechanicsburg PA , a time tube was dug up in 1976...200 years old with a record of history. So awesome. New information was inserted from the family to be opened in 200 years, if anyone is here.

As you said the castles are quite frequent around Scotland, most in ruins, we use to play in them. Some we thought were haughted. :woohoo: PC

From what you wrote, your gg grandfather unfortuneatly had an early death but damn everyone made up for it, babies galore. As bad as rabbits.

A Thomas Crookston, my great great grandfather was born in Scotland in 1835, and migrated to the US. He died in 1857, but had a son born to him after his death. That man, another Thomas Crookston ended up in Western PA and Eastern Ohio. He had 8 or 9 children, but only one son had any children, my Grandfather. He had 11 children, and they all had many. 101 grandchildren, hundreds of great grandchildren and hundreds more grreat great grandchildren. Not sure how many. Interesting. There is a "Crookston" castle in Scotland, which is a heap os stones now. I believe that the ansestors came from this area snd took the name of the land they lived on.

Sheep herders that carried the shepards "crook" That is more than I know however.

OS..........I know that....Scots know that....everyone else thinks it's Scotch....everyone else thinks my Mom is Irish, always the first guess. I know what Scotch is. No offence. You can step on my toes anytime.

1857 Where did they imigrate to, how brave of them, not exactly the best of times for sure. PC

Patty, no offence, but "scotch" is a whiskey. A "scot" is a person from Scotland. Get it, Scot-land. My ancestors came from there in 1857.

      Ciak you came up with the few more I forgot. Love it. I'm done laughing now.

OK on a serious note. Oh I'm not done laughing, I'm having trouble getting serious.

OK I know this is a segway from the original post but brought a great topic. I'll use myself as an example. Early years 'til 9 raised in Scotland, I saw my first Black person in Glassgow when we were preparing to come to the States. My Mom is dragging me down the street, I stopped in my tracks asking "What's that", my Mom said it's a "Darkie". My first exposure to someone of a different color.

We came to the South Bronx a huge mix of Italians, Irish, Germans, Scotch & others.

All of us kids would play until we fought and started calling names. It was a way of life. No offense taken, we all played together the next day.

Other people brought up in other environments don't have the exposure.

Or the exposure they have is unhealthy therefore developing attitudes against one another.

I guess that is why AMERICA is called the MELTING POT.

Other than race, religion is really pissing me off. It only takes 1 person or family to object to an ritual especially schools with the national antham, school prayer & Christmas Nativity Scenes, oh I'm getting mad, I'm stopping. PC....PC

"Consequences, Schmonsequences, F.T. What makes America Great It's candied apples and ponies with dapples you can ride all day! It's girls with pimples and cripples with dimples. Its spics and wops and niggers and kikes with noses as long as your arm! "Who else can drive a 6-inch spike through a board with their penis? It's candied apples and ponies with dapples. Its micks and chinks and gooks and geeks and honkies(Honk! Honk!)who never left the farm ! "Is that how a warped brain like mine gets its kicks? .... Ciak, amusing as usual. You are good at pissing people off. A natural talent obviously.  I'm insulted you didn't even mention us Scotch people for being stingy & cheap, we had no choice we were broke eating potatoes. The differnce between the Jews & Scotch of being cheap the Jews had the money and didn't spend. (Steve no offense to your family) Growing up in NYC the following was quite common: Jews, Waps, Guinies, Chinks, Dot Heads, N's, Wasps, Daggo, Rugheads, Honky, Whitey, I can't remember them all. We all know what we are.

You can't scratch your nose today with being accused of picking it.

I make fun with everyone! All is fair game, and though I am not vicious or mean about it, I say to get a thicker skin. If we can't laugh at ourselves and at the same time have compasion for each other, life is not worth living.

Steve, I was not referring to you specifically, sorry if it sounded that way. I meant I agreed with OS that the world is too PC.

I don't have a problem with fags either.......until they start making out in front of my kids, then they have the problem. I liked the days when they stayed in the closet.

Have to side up with Steve on the observation about closet Jews. Most everyone is a Jew at least sometimes.

Can't resist this one, however:

Jewish man's son calls from college, tells Dad he's broke and starving and needs a hundred dollars asap.

Dad says: $50.00? I don't have no $25.00.

What ever happened to being able to speak what you think?

It must still be here, did you not post what you were thinking?

We have become a bunch of faggot loving, gun hating, sissy boys

1) I don't care one way or the other about gays or gay marriage.

2) I have no problem with guns, my father, brother and most of my relatives hunt and I happen to love dear meat even though I personally could not kill one.

3) Anyone that knows me would probably say I am not a sissy boy

The problem that most people run into in regards to freedom of speech is that it goes both ways. Hell it even pisses me off sometimes

as for the joke, the jew part was not even that bad my wife even laughed about it I was thinking (and my wife even said) more about the first 4 item.

In reference to the jewish its free we'll take 10

Its really funny that everyone thinks of jewish people as cheap just because they look for the best price on things. Hell I know my wife does but when I shop I see what I want and buy it regardless the price then a week later I find it jewisher some where else and think what an idiot I was for not checking around.

How many roofers here just buy there products from the first place they get a price without getting a second or third price to compare to.

I would say that there are alot of closet jews in the world.

See the ability to speak whats on your mind is still alive and well.

some of the people I admire the most are jewish

It has nothing to do with PC, its about respect

they dont care about big nose or curly hair comments

next time you are dealing with a jewish friend or customer and they try to get you to lower your price just say are you trying to jew me down and see if they laugh

June 27, 2011 at 5:48 p.m.

I hear that is why the jewish people have such big noses...air is free! I can say that and laugh, because some of the people I admire the most ae jewish. They laugh too. We are so uptight and polically correct that we can't do anything without thinking if it is PC first. What a crock!
