"Charlie Crist has created for Florida Citizens ,A property insurance run by the state that cam compete for business."

............Huh?

Citizens was not created as a competitor. Did you miss this bit?

............The state’s largest private insurer will drop 1.2 million policies over the next two years, likely pushing many into the already bloated state-run insurer of last resort, Citizens Property Insurance Corp. But to Gov. Charlie Crist, the issue was State Farm’s obstinacy in seeking rate hikes. His reaction: good riddance.

Not venting or poking a stick, merely looking for any evidence at all that the industry you make your living from and constantly support isn't the most parasitic industry out there. Or is it that your constant cheerleading serves only to cloud the judgement of those who might assume that by definition, it is not just the industry but also those who serve it?>>>

The Roofing God

makes you want to do fiberboard replacement, yeah that`s ridiculous,Is this the same guy wants the Certainteed Flintlastic system?,3 part for that costs me around 185 $ per sq. As far as waste on a flat roof,we always just round out to the next square, usually not much waste to speak of-The chimney work should be include if it was damaged,or it`s just cement flashing to it,or working into the old flashings, remember they only pay to replace existing conditions>>>

Charlie Crist has created for Florida Citizens ,A property insurance run by the state that cam compete for business.I'm not so sure this isn't a bad thing, How would you like to compete with a state run roofing company , Sounds like an unfair situation to me for now. I don't know what that has to do with helping a contractor or homeowner filing a claim and getting paid . Your jumping all over the place. I guess trying to hit hot buttons or just a little crazy ? How does that help ? I will attempt to answer some of your question. As far as a homeowner being ripped off I don't know about that the courts would have to decide that one. Now an adjuster I can answer most of those. An adjuster is paid according to the amount of the claim. The more the claim amount the more the adjuster will make as a general rule. Adjuster carry E&O insurance . I"m not saying mistakes are not made they are. The claims process allows for errors in most cases through a process called " supplements " . Do you have a particular situation that is not resolved or are you just venting stirring or poking the stick ?>>>

State Farm being just one of them, closely tied to your good friends Allstate. Oh, and the straw that broke the camels back for them? Losing a legal battle to FORCE a rate hike OF FORTY SEVEN PERCENT. ....... Walking away from 1.2 MILLION POLICIES

The state’s largest private insurer will drop 1.2 million policies over the next two years, likely pushing many into the already bloated state-run insurer of last resort, Citizens Property Insurance Corp. But to Gov. Charlie Crist, the issue was State Farm’s obstinacy in seeking rate hikes. His reaction: good riddance.

“They probably charge the highest rates in the state, anyway. Floridians will be much better off without them,’’ he said. Asked if State Farm was “posturing,’’ Crist replied: “I don’t really know, and I don’t really care.’’

Go ahead ciak, but try to present a lucid and factual argument as opposed to biased (at best) opinions.

uh uh, don't "just write it off as ignorance" Why be so blase'?

"Hardly anyone not being able to get insurance in Florida is another wrong statement".

Back it up ciak. List who was operating there three yrs ago and from that list who is still there.

"I'm surprised at the statement Jed made " it is in his interest to pay out as little as possible if he wants to keep his job " This is just flat out not true. I'll just write it off as ignorance".

Back it up ciak. Tell us why an adjuster will agree to pay in full as opposed to paying out as little as possible.

" Now if a storm is coming Jed is correct you cannot get a insurance as far as I know".

Nothing like a little humourous sarcasm from your friendly concerned, ethicaly correct insurance adjuster..............on the otherhand, seeing as you work in the industry and are obviously familiar with this scenario maybe you would address it for us. Maybe provide some information on the recourse a ripped off consumer can take against an insurance company that walks away after thirty yrs of paid on time premiums and never a claim to be denied? >>>

I'm surprised at the statement Jed made " it is in his interest to pay out as little as possible if he wants to keep his job " This is just flat out not true. I'll just write it off as ignorance. Remember ignorance can be changed . It is the adjusters job to fulfill the conditions of the contract. The rubber meets the road at the contract. What does it say is what it does They are at risk as much or more so if they underpay. Hardly anyone not being able to get insurance in Florida is another wrong statement. Now if a storm is coming Jed is correct you cannot get a insurance as far as I know.>>>

.............it is in his interest to pay out as little money as possible if he wants to keep his job........thieves, heartless scabs and lyin' barstards.....all of 'em..........clearly the house isn't in FLORIDA, because in FLORIDA hardly anyone can get insurance on their property because the insurance companies have pulled out..........Scenario: You had your house for thirty yrs, paid off the mortgage and now it is yours, but guess what, the ins company that the bank required you to have as long as they provided the loan, and have NEVER made a claim on, now says fcuk you and walks off with all the premiums you paid over the yrs, no refund, no vaseline nothing, just walks off, and you got a three hundred THOUSAND dollar home that you can't insure.....and a storm coming.>>>

What insurance company?Did you break down your estimate for them?Did you do a chicken dance for them? They prefer you to jump thru hoops though, write your quote get the homeowner to sign it and submit it the insurance company, then they might negotiate with you if you have a signed contract with the homeowner.I find most adjusters know very little about commercial flat roofs and are flexible, but you got to get that homeowners signature to get them to talk to you.>>>
