Big mistake.......believe me. If you can't sell it or your son can't buy you out you're probably in trouble. I'd try to sell to another local roofing company that's looking to expand their customer base and yours sounds like a good one. Your phone number alone is worth the money. Put feelers out locally and offer to finance the deal with a large down payment. Partners NEVER work, believe me. I've had three different ones in my life and cursed the day we hooked up. If all else fails try to hire some management/sales talent that you can control and get rid of if they don't work out. Good luck........

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING Ok, I have some real time advise for you. You are about to enter into a living hell. Partners are another wife looking for what is in it for them, how they can get everything that is and isn't theirs without a prenuptial agreement. They don't think like you. It is a huge mistake and I will warn you, Your health will exponentially deteriorate at a rate you cannot even imagine and your business and most likely personal life toilet material. Figure out something else to secure the future of your legacy.
