Right on the mark Jed . Crews that take their shirts off and don't where hats haven't worked in the sun or are just ignorant and haven't learned yet . It is counter intuitive but right . Oh yeah if you haven't heard I have my spell check back. Lost it when I got this new lap top.>>>

A long sleeve oversize shirt to absorb the sweat then trap the breeze which will cool you down works the best IMO. Plenty of fluids, and a floppy hat are essential. Roofing in CT during the summer way back we always stripped down and seemed to do just fine, but in FL more recently it was a different story, maybe age has something to do with it. I got heatstroke three yrs ago in Port Charlotte and to this day my right side cramps up at the slightest sign of tension.>>>

There is no such thing as hot or cold only work! lol When the kids are hungry they dont care about that. They want to eat! Not necesssarily trying to be a smarty here but when its hot we take off more clothes and when its cold we put more on. Along with drinking more water, starting earlier. etc. Back in the old days we used to start at sun up and knock off at lunch. Then come back at 5 p.m. and work until 9 p.m. One of the smartest things you can do during the dog days of summer is make sure you start tearing off a part of the roof that is going to be in the shade for nailing back on when the sun comes up higher. If there are trees of course. lol>>>

I always tell them it's in their head. The more ya think about it the more it will get to you. Keep 2 coolers on roof. One water, one gatorade.>>>
