Florida Power Ball

Well I did it. I finally got one number on two tickets. I know I didn't win anything but it's a start. :laugh:

I usually don't even give it a thought but I was in line at a convenience store and the homeless guy in front of me apparently didn't have enough money to pay for both the gourmet food he had already shoveled into his mouth and the $5 Power Ball ticket that Habib (the Indian owner of a little bodega), had already printed for him. Habib offered me the ticket and I fell for it. :laugh: I wonder how I would have felt if the ticket was actually a winner. Would I have felt like I owned something to the scumbag that actually ordered the ticket and then couldn't pay for it? Probably not. :laugh:

There is another homeless guy here in Marathon that won $1MM a year or two ago with a scratch off ticket. He's still homeless and a drunk but he a millionaire. Apparently, he set up a trust for his dog. He still sleeps on the streets and in the woods. He still panhandles for loose change and beer money. For him, it's an art form and lifestyle he just isn't willing to give up.
