Sprinkler and a tuna can. Mark the can at 1". Cut you a 2/12 wedge for the can to sit on. Put can under sprinkler on roof and wait. A lawn chair and a Corona might be necessary.>>>

Guy I'm a little confused with your question , Are you testing the roof to find leaks or where the water runs off ?? If you could clarify the question .>>>
