Does the media really think that we are that stupid?

Imo, the nation is near the end of the cycle that Alexander Tytler spoke about.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."

Too many "voters" are ignorant and selfish and don't care about the future of the nation. Only about themselves and today. The question isn't whether or not it collapses, but how long the inevitable can be delayed. Trump merely delayed it longer than Hillary would have. A collapse is as inevitable as yours and my eventual death - its unpleasantness doesn't prevent it.

I subscribe to this theory: I prefer peace, but if there is to be turmoil, let it happen in my time so my children can live in peace.

I don't know if media thinks that we're that stupid but president Trump certainly seems to think we are.

Look left, they're on your right. Indeed. I was transported back to 2009 last week. Look right, they're on your left. Instead of dealing with anything substantive, they threw the Health "care" red herring debate at us...again. (2009 all over) Look left, they're moving on the right. (2009 all over) I wonder how many thousands of $millions were stolen from the country last week while the focus was on Health"care" Look right, they just moved left. $54 bil in welfare to the MIC --they're on your left-- and-- you looked right-- and some fake "news" about some kind of... oops you looked right, they're on your left...health"care" debate, and not a step closer to any kind of infrastructure plan. They're on your right now, they had you looking left..

I was watching the BBC world news tonight. Then I watched ABC network news. I got more info from the BBC about America....
