My guess would be that there was a holiday in the mat saturation process during production. Maybe they were seconds, it's hard to believe that their plant qc wouldn't have caught it.>>>

Don't know the exact age of the roof. The present owner purchased the house in July 2004. The house was built in 1958. The online building department records only go back to 2004. The shingles are not curling or brittle. There are about 20 missing tab. There are about 20 or 30 tabs that are worn from where the seal broke and the wind has worn them from repeated lifting. BTW, I don't recall ever having hail around here so we can rule that out.>>>
