Actually, it's a rambling one story house with Y-shaped wings on both ends. The additions will be at the ends of all 4 Y-wings. I need to move the old tile from the inside V of the Y wings to the frontside additions and do the same for all the roofs that are visible from the pool in the back. all new tile will be on those inside V roofs on the ends. Hope that description makes sense.
We're the exact same age Jay. Did you "load" the roof, as in carrying shingles up the ladder or "unload" as off the ladder elevator or a fork lift/boom truck? I don't do very many full roofs anymore. If I do happen to sell one, I save it until my repair work slows down and order a roof top delivery.

A little while ago, I posted a picture of the first new roof I have done in years. 53 squares of tile on a 10/12. At completion, I decided it could very well be my last. At 60, the repair/maintenance routine is far easier on the body.
I was just getting caught up when yesterday things exploded. I got 12 days worth of cleanings, 6 days worth of repairs, another new house from a builder I haven't heard from for a decade and news of "the big one" actually coming soon.
It's an addition of 100 squares on a 140 square house, but since they don't want any view of the house to have both new and old tile visible, it will probably be more labor than if I were doing the whole house. And that will be followed up with between 8 and 11 additional buildings on the property, barn, stables, guest house, gym, etc.
"Don't answer the phone, honey, I'm booked until dirt-diving time."
:)
I went through that at 46 myself. Then it kind of left. No, it really did leave. Now at 66 it seems to be kind of here again. Probably to stay I would think. But there's always hope for a miracle.
