On your box truck, do one of those things where the picture looks like the corner of the truck has been peeled away to reveal what's inside. Then have it look like it's loaded with things that make it ready to go roofing. I'd have it showing a bunch of midget clowns packed in ready to climb out and go roofing, like a little circus car, but that's just me.>>>

I agree with JET....Huge lettering is the key and MISCREANT....Lots of trucks (idealy vans and large trucks. I wouldn't so muck advertize specific phazes of what you do, just go with your name and be sure that "roofing" is at least on there. I worked for a company that had many trucks and splashed with large lettering and graphics. potential customers will see your big name on the side, they may miss you phone number as you pass buy, they will remember and look your name up in the yellow pages.

Try this also!!!! Install one of those plastic bug shields (preferably black) and graph your name on it ...backwards...so they can see you in the rear view mirror, just like the ambulances. I have only seen them graphed normally.

Miscreant

I was thinking the same thing as tinner. There was a local company that had at least 8 pickup trucks with full graphics. For several years I would see their trucks because they really stood out. They were really ahead of the curve. They also seemed to be designed by a talented graphics person because along with being impossible to miss they were pleasing to the eye.

The thing is though, I didn't know what they did for two or three years even though I was very interested. I finally saw one parked someplace and was able to figure out they were a window washing company.

They went belly up. I don't know how much it cost to paint their trucks, but I'm guessing it was very expensive. They would have been way better off with block letters.>>>

Agree, I've yet to see one on a small vehicle that made any sense. On a semi you can get the drift but smaller vehicles just don't have the space. When we got our construction trailer back (from the theft) they had removed my $3000 worth of graphics with a power washer. I took it back to the shop who does all my work and we went a different route, very car racing type look with red, white and blue vinyl accents and huge lettering. It really looks outstanding and we get calls all the time when it goes down the road. Best of all it was only $2000.......

I'm with tinner on this. I always thought that if I were to need roadside advertising I would go with bright pink, gaseous yellow neon colours, like strip joints use........when I used to travel they always caught my eye......just sayin' :P>>>
