That's pretty sweet. How long was that old stuff on there and how long do you expect your job to last?

Copper, those are pop rivets on the left had side, where we tied into the old roof. Quite the mess! What you are seeing there is the side of the tower, which is about 18 " wide, or just the thickness of the masonry wall. To the right is the side we have to do and it is 14 feet wide. I will take more pictures when we go down to install the copper panels, but we are still waiting for them to come in, at least the copper. It was supposed to be here over a week ago, and our lift and the scaffold has been sitting there costing us money! Sheesh!

We clipped the right side in place and then installed a new drip edge over it to fasten the panels to. It should be slick when it is done. We do have to work with the existing copper too. Not the best of all worlds.

We did a bell tower job like that once - employee fell off the ladder and hit his head on a large bell. I don't remember his his name, but his face rings a bell.

That is the only way I want to get up there. We have left a bunch of planks on the way up, but the top two layers are fully planked and isolated from the rest. We get up and work, and then come right down the lift.

It is windy up there, and some of the copper pieces are 14 feet long. It wants to blow us around. It is all tied off to the building, but still a challenge.

It already has a bit Woody.

It is really interesting at noon when all the bells start to go off. It sure lets you know when it is time to eat lunch up there

Interesting project, OS. Do you think the inside copper will patina at a much different rate than the outer copper?
